Values for Survival—The Venice Exploratorium: Cahier 2
Here you find the second publication (Cahier 2) within ‘Values for Survival’, the parallel research program of the Dutch contribution to 17th Architecture Biennale in Venice. Commissioned by Het Nieuwe Instituut, and as Amsterdam’s Chief Science Officer, I was asked to orchestrate this research program.
The publication ‘Values for Survival, the Venice Exploratorium: Cahier 2’ comprises the outcomes of the 15 research tracks of the Exploratorium, which happened in the spring and summer of 2020 during the COVID19 lockdown. In this Exploratorium, more than 50 artists, scientists, designers and activists mostly from Amsterdam and Venice worked together online. They never met before and could not meet, yet collaborated focusing on the social and ecological challenges that Venice and Amsterdam share.
